Why upload an old animation if you don't think it's great? If you want to breath life back into an old animation, do an HD version or a director's cut. You could have redrawn scenes to have more details and shading, used a better converter so your animation isn't artifact-ed to hell, and recorded music with a better microphone so that it's not crackling when silent. Stop putting effort into making excuses for bad animations, and put effort into learning how to create better ones.
Thank you for the feedback, I am working on new animations this is just something I wanted to do.
The faces of Mario and Luigi are a bit off when they are blinking in the title screen. Plus there is a lot of unused space up at the top through most of animation. It's a good start.
Thanks for the feedback!
Yeah, I have an OCD problem so I tried fixing it and thats what I gotten, I'm making sure that im going to fix alot of things and use it all for adobe flash.
Funny part is I usually just create the frames in a photoshop program then imported it on sony vegas. Next time I'm going to see if you're able to do that in Adobe Flash. I wonder if any other animators do that.
Good stuff. The animations were nice and I always love it when animators add music at the end and then make it stop when you press the replay button.
Thank you! It actually took me a little while to figure out how to make the music stop. But glad you enjoyed it guy!
It seems that you have your Frame rate, Frames Per Second (fps), set really low. Try making videos at 30 fps, the animation will look better. If you dislike how fast motion-tweens go with 30 fps, add normal frames between the two keyframes that you have motion-tweened and things will move slower but not in a way that makes the animation look choppy.
I try in next.
Can't really tell if starting but not ending the music each time the flash loops is supposed to be part of it. Please include a stop music or stream the music through the timeline next time.
First of all, I still learning how to do dat, second, lol a 'stop music'.
And, you can turn off your speakers, without music it's funny, even I lol'd at it.
Note: I maded it for a joke XD
I don't know why but when the movie finishes loading, I get a white screen of nothing.
It was pretty good. One improvement would be to add a background layer to your buttons so that you don't need to click on the actual font to use it.
Alright, sounds good! Most of my menus have rectangular buttons, I'm not sure why I set it just to text on this one. If I get around to updating this, I would want to add Zero at the beginning blowing the hole in the ground and an animation of X shooting the button when clicked.
Review your flash before posting to newgrounds, like opening the SWF file using Internet Explorer or something. The music loops endlessly, please use the stream sound or have a stop sound at the end of your frames. The again button is hard to push, try adding a square background to it to make it easier to click on. Finally, make sure you added a preloader.
Thanks for the tip! Submitting this project at this stage was really a fault of mine. I had little experience with flash, didn't know what I was doing really. Now that I've gone through countless tutorials online I hope to finish this one day and fix my mistakes. :)
Try checking the timeline in flash to time the sound effects a bit better near the end.
Thanks :O I had a bit of trouble figuring out how to do that. I remember doing it once before :S.
Could use some work.
The play button needs a square background; it is really hard to click on font text. Also, the drawn text and the way it is animated makes it hard to read. Instead of using hand drawn text, find a nice hand drawn style font and use it instead. Besides those two things, it seems that you are on your way to making a pretty nice flash for the portal.
Thank you very much! I shall keep the text thing in mind! :)
